About Fieldwear & Fineries

Fieldwear & Fineries began as a simple idea that struck us at The Game Fair. A moment of realising just how little there was in the way of truly special socks made for people who live and breathe the countryside. It was the spark that brought a blurry vision into focus: an opportunity to create the pieces we had always looked for but never found.
We’ve always held a deep appreciation for game birds and the work that goes into gamekeeping; the colours, textures and the quiet rituals of the countryside that only those who live it truly understand. If these birds and this way of life mean so much to us, why wasn’t anyone creating socks that honour their stories properly? That moment made it clear that our socks needed to be different. Not just patterned, but purposefully designed, with plumage‑inspired palettes, bespoke tartans, and a level of craftsmanship that reflects the land and the lifestyle they come from. Drawing our designs from the rich plumage of native game birds, then woven into bespoke tartans that honour our Scottish heritage.
For us, Fieldwear & Fineries is far more than a label. It’s a love letter to the land, the lineage, and the layered personalities of those who wear it. Whether you’re out shooting, beating, riding or even settled by the fireside, we want these garments to feel timeless and tactile. Our mission is simple: to celebrate countryside identity through story‑driven design, blending heritage craftsmanship with playful sophistication. Creating pieces anyone can wear, but that feel truly special to those who understand the deeper story woven into them.
